Who I am

Jody Ellen Collins

I started my career in technology in 1995 after I was hired to write copy for a company that developed medical software on main frames. I was really not interested in copy writing but I was really interested in the emerging technology that I was witnessing all around me so I learned to code (C+, Cobol, HTML, Visual Basic). I learned to normalize a database and write SQL. It was the early days of the internet and I was excited about the possibilities that I knew were to come. As the technology progressed, I progressed to content management system architecture, CRM platforms and integrated solutions. I loved then and still love how every new development in technology can have a ripple effect to revolutionize the way we do almost everything. I realized that I liked putting together big picture technical solutions for people better than coding. It was at that time certified myself in project management methodologies which allowed me to help put ideas into action. It is no use to have good ideas if you can’t implement them and make them a reality. I have been fortunate over these 20+ years, to be able to bring my experience to bring digital transformation to reality for many companies in multiple industries. I am still enthusiastic and excited about unlocking potential with technology!
